CIPCE 2024: Focus on Tomás Marco

The International Piano Competition Compositores de España announces their winners

The young pianist Uladzislau Khandohi, (22, born in Belarus, living in Moscow), received from the hands of the Vice Mayor of Las Rozas, Gustavo Rico, the first prize of the International Piano Competition Composers of Spain (CIPCE), whose final was held at the Joaquín Rodrigo Auditorium. The award is sponsored by the City Council of Las Rozas and carries a cash prize of 8,000 euros and an International Concert Tour. This year, Parsons Music Corporation, manufacturer of the prestigious Yangtze River piano brand is also organizing a Concert Tour in the People's Republic of China.

In this 24th edition of the CIPCE, which paid tribute to Composer Tomás Marco, Lawrence Golan and the Orquesta Internacional Virtuosos de Madrid were in charge of putting the finishing touch to the competition, with the performances of the three finalists: Zhilin Chen, Marta Tejero Fernández and Uladzislau Khandohi.

The Jury decided to leave the second prize vacant, and to award ex-aequo the third prize Fundación Ciudad de Requena, endowed with 2,000 euros, to Marta Tejero Fernández, (20), and Zhilin Chen, (23). The Prize for the Best Performer of Spanish Music, sponsored by the Fundación Cultura Las Rozas, went to Marta Tejero Fernández.
