Junhyung Kim

Junhyung Kim was born in Seoul in 1997. He received his first piano lessons at the age of ten. He is currently studying piano with Antti Siirala at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Munich. In 2018, he won the 3rd prize at the Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy Hochschulwettbewerb and the Musikförderpreis of the Konzertverein Ingolstadt. In 2019, he won the 4th prize at the "Aarhus International Piano" competition in Denmark and the 6th prize at the "Sendai International Music" competition in Japan. In 2021, he was awarded 1st prize at the "Seoul International Music" competition. Junhyung Kim gives recitals in Boston, Paris, Denmark, Berlin, Munich, Ingolstadt and Seoul and plays with orchestras such as the Konzerthausorchester Berlin, the Munich Chamber Orchestra, the Prime Philharmonic Orchestra in Gunpo (South Korea) and the Hwa-Seong Festival Orchestra.
