Konstantin Emelyanov wins the 2024 Rina Sala Gallo

Founded in 1947 with the support of Arturo Benedetti Michelangeli, the Rina Sala Gallo international Piano Competition continues to present outstanding young pianists from around the world

The jury of the 27th edition of the Rina Sala Gallo Monza International Piano Competition, chaired by Roberto Prosseda, awarded its First Prize to the pianist Konstantin Emelyanov.

Konstantin Emelianov receives the scholarship combined with the Special Audience Award, while the "Massimo Galli" award awarded to the candidate, chosen from among the six semifinalists, who recorded the best artistic performance in one of the rehearsals, goes to Jonas Aumiller; the Chopin Prize in memory of Febea D'Andria D'Eredità was awarded to Jonas Aumiller as well. The "Council of the Rina Sala Gallo Musical Association" award goes to Isa Trotta, the youngest candidate of the semifinalists. 

Konstantin Emelianov is the recipient of the Student Jury Prize, in collaboration with the Classical and Musical High School B. Zucchini. The prize given by the Symphony Orchestra of Milan was awarded to Jonas Aumiller.

Konstantin Emelyanov (b.1994 in Krasnodar, Russia) graduated from the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory, where he was studying  with Professor Sergei Dorensky and his assistants, Professors Andrei Pisarev, Pavel Nersesyan and Nikolai Lugansky. Also he was studying at the Rachmaninov Academy in Catania, Italy with professor Epifanio Comis during the season  2017-1018. Since 2022 he is attending the Senior course at The International Piano Academy ‘’Incontri col Maestro’’ in Imola with Professor Boris Petrushansky.

Emelyanov has been actively touring and taking part in various musical project and festivals:
The Stars on Baikal, La Folle Journee in Ekaterinburg, International piano series in Bern, ArsLonga festival and T-festival in Moscow, Pianissimo piano festival and others. He has been present in many major halls and festivals around the world.
