Yungyung Guo is studying with Moye Chen at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music, where she is pursuing her Bachelor’s degree in Piano Performance. She began her piano studies at the age of four and previously graduated from the Affiliated Middle School to the Conservatory.
Yungyung has performed at renowned venues such as the Basilica Di San Pietro Concert Hall, Sydney Opera House, Verbrugghen Hall, National Centre for the Performing Arts in Beijing, Shanghai Grand Theatre, Shanghai Symphony Hall, Hangzhou Grand Theatre, Hongtai Concert Hall in Xiamen, Shangyin Opera House and Tobin Centre for the Performing Arts in San Antonio. She has appeared as a concerto soloist with Sydney Symphony Orchestra, Mexico City Philharmonic Orchestra, Shanghai Philharmonic Orchestra, Wuxi Symphony Orchestra and Brunensis Virtuosi Orchestra. She has collaborated with renowned conductors including Benjamin Northey, Umberto Clerici, Scott Yoo, Daye Lin, Xiao-Ou Zhao and Gaddiel Dombrowner. As a chamber musician, she has performed with the internationally celebrated cellist Li-Wei Qin.
Yungyung has won the 3rd Prize at the Sydney International Piano Competition and the 1st Prize at The Gurwitz International Piano Competition. She has also won the 1st prizes from the Artciál International Piano Competition, the World Piano Teachers Association International Piano Competition and the G-Clef International Music Competition, the Golden Medal with High Distinction from the Manhattan International Music Competition and the Platinum Award from the WPTA Singapore International Piano Competition. Yungyung was awarded the People’s Scholarship (six times), the Shanghai Scholarship (2020) and the Lily En-Teh New Scholarship (2022 and 2023). In 2023, she was named the laureate of the "Young Talents” Concerto Competition, where she performed Mozart's Piano Concerto No. 27 in B-flat Major with the Shanghai Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of Xiao-Ou Zhao.
