The baritone Yohan John Ji began his singing career at the Kaywon High School of Arts and then completed his Bachelor's degree at the Seoul National University in Korea. Since 2020, he has been studying with Prof. Susanne Kelling in the master's programme in music theatre as well as song interpretation with Prof. Marcello Amaral at the Nuremberg University of Music, where he will graduate in summer 2022.

During his training he worked in master classes with Sir Richard Bonynge, KS Brigitte Fassbaender, KS Edda Moser, Barbara Frittoli, Roberto Frontali and Jonathan Papp, among others. During his time in Germany he has already appeared on the opera stage in several productions. Among other roles, he sang the title role in Mozart's "Don Giovanni" as well as Count Almaviva in Mozart's "Le nozze di Figaro" and Marcello in Puccini's "La Bohème".

Yohan John Ji was a scholarship holder at the Georg Solti Academia di Bel Canto in Italy and was also awarded a prize in December 2021 for his outstanding
