Ryusei Horiuchi

Started playing the piano at the age of three. Currently, he is studying under Susumu Aoyagi, Rikako Murata, and Pascal Devoyon.

He is now a special scholarship student of Tokuji Munetsugu Tokyo University of the Arts. Completed the first class of the Tokyo University of the Arts Junior Academy. After graduating from the Music High School attached to the Faculty of Music, Tokyo University of the Arts, he is a first-year student at Faculty of Music, Tokyo University of the Arts. He won the second prize at the "Robert Schumann" International Competition in 2024, second prize at the International Piano Competition Prize Jaén in 2024, First Prize in Category C, the Audience Prize and the Grand Prize at the 3rd Steinway Competition in Japan and performed in a gala concert in Hamburg,Germany(2016).

First prize in Category E at the 7th Piano Talents International Piano Competition in Italy (2017), and second prize at the 1st Piano Competition of Tokyo University of the Arts(2022).

He participated in the 15th Ibaraki International Music Academy in Kasama and won the Kasama Music Award. Performed with Akiyoshi SAKO conducting and the Tokyo University of the Arts Philharmonic Orchestra.
