Natalie Loughran is a recent graduate of the Juilliard School with a Bachelor of Music in Viola Performance. She will continue at Juilliard for her Masters of Music, under the tutelage of Roger Tapping and Misha Amory. As a Semifinalist at the Tertis International Viola Competition, she was awarded a special prize for her performance of the Bowen Viola Sonata in C Minor.
She is a member of the Kila Quartet, also coached by Roger Tapping, as part of the Honors Program at Juilliard. The Quartet has participated in the Perlman Music Program Chamber Workshop and the Robert Mann String Quartet Institute, where they studied and performed with Itzhak Perlman, Donald Weilerstein, Mark Steinberg, Joel Krosnick, and Roger Tapping. The Kila Quartet has also appeared on WQXR’s ‘Midday Masterpieces’ series.
