The Italian Francesco Mattioli was born in 1994 and studied with Maestro Mauro Verdozzi at the “Licinio Refice” conservatory in Frosinone where he graduated at the age of 16. He continues his studies with Maestro Guido Corti at the Music School of Fiesole and between 2013 and 2015 he plays with the Italian Youth Orchestra and the “Luigi Cherubini” Youth Orchestra conducted by Maestro Riccardo Muti. He is chosen at the auditions for the European Union Youth Orchestra and the Verbier Festival Orchestra. In 2016 and 2017 he participated in the Zermatt Music Festival with the Ensamble Sharoun of Berlin. From 2015 to 2018 he completed his studies with m ° Radovan Vlatkovic at the Zürcher Hochschule der Künste, attending a specialization masterclass in collaboration with the Opernhaus in Zurich. From 2019 Mattioli plays as first horn at the San Carlo Theater in Naples, but he also performed with other famous orchestras. In 2021 he won the first prize at the international horn competition "Gianni Bergamo" in Lugano.
