More information

Lorenzo Soulès was born in Lyon and began playing the piano at the age of three. After graduating from the Conservatoire Supérieur de Paris C.N.R. with the 1er Prix at the age of 13, he continued his studies with Pierre-Laurent Aimard and Tamara Stefanovich at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln, where he passed his concert exam with distinction. In addition, he took lessons with the Spanish pianist Alicia de Larrocha in Barcelona from 2006 to 2009 to study the entire Iberia cycle with her.

In April 2022, Lorenzo Soulès won 1st prize in the Concours International de Piano d'Orléans. He was also awarded the Prix des Étudiants du Conservatoire d'Orléans, the Audience Prize and the Edison Denisov Prize. Numerous engagements and a CD production are associated with the competition success.

Ten years earlier, Lorenzo Soulès' international career began when, at the age of 20, he won all available prizes at the Concours International de Genève (1st Prize, Audience Prize, Young Audience Special Prize, Air France-KLM Special Prize and the Coup de Coeur Prize of the Swiss watchmaker Breguet).
