He was born in 1990 in Seoul, South Korea, and earned his bachelor’s degree from the Korea National University of Art. Then he moved to Munich, Germany to obtain a master’s degree from the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Munich and Theater Akademie August Everding in opera singing. He currently studies with KS. Prof. Andreas Schmidt. He has already received numerous awards: in 2016, first prize in two Korean competitions, then in 2018 he also came in first at the Korea Classical Singers Association International Competition and emerged as the winner of the Sungjeong Music Competition. He has performed as Tamino in Die Zauberflöte, as Nemorino in L’elisir d’amore, as Rodolfo in La bohème and as Ruodi in William Tell. In addition, he has toured as a soloist with the major orchestras of South Korea, perfomed in Schubert’s Winterreise in his home country, and perfomed in Rome, Italy with Maestro Stephen Kramer.
