Violin: Kyoko Ogawa

Piano: Kosuke Akimoto

The Duo AO was formed at the Tokyo University of the Arts in 2014. They also studied high-level chamber music at the Suntory Hall Chamber Music Academy in Tokyo. They are members of the Aoi Trio, which received the first prize at the 67th ARD International Music Competition in Munich, 2018. The trio has performed recitals in many cities in Germany and Japan. The performance of Aoi Trio has been highly acclaimed by “The Strad” magazine and many newspapers all over the world. Currently they are studying chamber music with Prof. Dirk Mommerz in Munich.

Kyoko Ogawa

Kyoko Ogawa was born in 1992 at Nara, Japan. She won the 1st prize at the International Mozart Chamber Music competition in 2015. She graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts and is currently studying at the University of Music and Performing Arts of Munich and Karajan Akademie der Berliner Philharmoniker.

Kosuke Akimoto

Kosuke Akimoto was born in 1993 at Hyogo, Japan. He won the 2nd prize at the International Rosario Marciano Piano Competion in 2010, the Special prize at the International Paderewski Piano Competion in 2016. He graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts and is currently studying at the University of Music and Performing Arts of Munich.
