Defne Celik

Born in Hanover in 2003, Defne Celik has been a student of Prof. Dr. Marek Rzepka at the Hanover University of Music, Drama and Media (HMTMH) since the winter semester of 2022. She has been enrolled at HMTMH since the age of 13, initially at the Institute for Early Support of the Musically Gifted (IFF) and later as a junior student. Defne has received additional support since December 2021 as a scholarship holder of the Yehudi Menuhin “Live Musik Now” Hannover e.V. scholarship program. Last year, she won the special singing prize from the Walter and Charlotte Hamel Foundation at the German Music Competition and performed as a soloist in the “Podium der Jungen” program on NDR Kultur. She recently performed at the Mozartfest Würzburg in the Kaisersaal of the Würzburg Residence.
