Swiss soprano Chelsea Marilyn Zurflüh, who also has roots in the Seychelles, trained in Bern with Barbara Locher. She was then a member of the Zurich Opera Studio, where her roles included Barbarina (The Marriage of Figaro), Zaida (Il Turco in Italia) and Atalanta (Serse). She also sang the title role in Fabian Müller's new opera Heidi fête Noël in Biel-Solothurn and the role of Licori in Vivaldi's La finta Ninfa at the Innsbruck Festival of Early Music. She has sung the role of Gerhilde in a production of Die Walküre with Kent Nagano in the Czech Republic, Germany and Austria, as well as in numerous early music projects throughout Europe. She has won numerous international prizes, including 1st prize at the Hadyn de Rohrau Competition in Austria last spring.

She won the 1st prize at 2024 Concours de Genève, as well as the 2nd prize at the 2023 International Mozart Competition Salzburg, and the second prize and audience award at the prestigious Antonio Cesti Competition in Innsbruck, Austria in August 2022.
She is also a first place winner of the Marianne & Curt Diennemann Foundation Music Competition, a study prize winner of the Migros Culture Percentage Singing Competition, the Kiefer-Hablitzel/Göhner Music Competition and, since May 2021, first place winner of the Elvirissima Singing Competition.
