Alberto Acuña Almela is a member of the Berliner Philharmoniker’s Karajan Akademie where he is mentored by Emmanuel Pahud. He has performed with the Berliner Philharmoniker, the Saito Kinen Orchestra and the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande under conductors including Seiji Ozawa, Fabio Luisi, Kirill Petrenko, Jonathan Nott and Daniel Harding. He currently studies at the Haute École de Musique de Genève in the class of Jacques Zoon, having started his education at the Conservatorio Profesional de Música Francisco Guerrero, Seville. Alberto is a laureate of the Andalucia International Flute Competition (First Prize), the Riddes International Flute Competition (First Prize) and the Cluj International Music Competition (First Prize). He has made concerto appearances with the HEM Orchestra, the Orchestre Philharmonique de Nice and the Transylvania Philharmonic Orchestra.
