Born in Inner Mongolia in 2000, pianist Zifan received his first piano lessons at the age of 5. Just three years later, he began professional studies at the Beijing Conservatory of Music's early music program, where he was accepted into Prof. Xi You's gifted class. In October 2017, he moved to Germany and continued his piano studies in the class of Prof. Gerrit Zitterbart at the Hanover University of Music, Drama and Media. In 2019, he began receiving private lessons from Michel Béroff, and by fall 2021, he will begin his master's studies with Prof. Arie Vardi in Hannover.
Zifan Ye is a laureate of various famous competitions, including winning first prizes at the 23rd International Piano Competition "Pietro Argento", the International Piano Competition "María Herrero", the International Piano Competition of France, and a 2nd prize of the "Golden Bell Award" in China. He is also a prize winner of ITURBI International Piano Competition, 1st Harmonium International Piano Competition, CCOM Concerto competition, 4th "Vigo" International Piano Competition, 19th "Spanish Composers International Piano Competition" and Ettlingen International Piano Competition in 2014.
