The baritone Samueol Park was born in Incheon, South Korea, and studied at the Korea National University of Arts in Seoul with Prof. Sangho Choi, the current artistic director of the Korea National Opera. Since October 2020, he has been studying with Prof. Ewa Wolak at the Hanns Eisler School of Music in Berlin. He received a scholarship from the "Giovanni Omodeo Foundation" during his mater studies.
Samueol Park has won numerous awards and prizes, including 2nd prize and special prize at the "Riccardo Zandonai" International Competition for Young Opera Singers (2023, the 1st prize was not awarded), 2nd prize at the International Lyric Singing Contest of Beziers (2023), the silver medal at the "Marie Kraja" International Singing Competition (2022), 2nd prize at the Korea Singing Competition (2019), 3rd prize at the "Dong-A" Seoul Singing Competition (2019) and 3rd prize at the "Dong-A" Seoul Singing Competition (2019). Prize at the "Dong-A" Seoul International Music Competition (2019), the Main Prize at the Gaechon Art Competition (2019), the Silver Medal at the Korean Broadcasting System & KEPCO Music Competition (2019), the Silver Medal at the Korea National Opera Singing Competition (2019), the 2nd Prize at the La Bella Opera Singing Competition (2017) and the Bronze Medal at the International For College Students Singing Competition in China (2017).
