More information
Guido Sant'Anna began his violin lessons at the age of 5 with Marcia Uhlemann. At the age of 7, Guido's talent was discovered by conductor Julio Medaglia, who helped him to give his first solo concerto with chamber orchestra. In 2013, he began taking lessons from Elisa Fukuda and rose to prominence on the national scene. Guido has performed as a soloist with orchestras in several cities in Brazil and abroad with recitals and duets. In April 2018 he achieved a historic achievement: he was the first Brazilian or South American invited to the Menuhin Competition in Geneva. There he shone as a finalist, winning sixth prize, the audience prize and the chamber music prize. Guido then joined the Perlman Music Program and attended their summer courses.
